A Busy Child Preschool is a licensed preschool and daycare located in Denver, Colorado. A Busy Child Daycare & Preschool serves the Montbello, Green Valley Ranch, and Stapleton neighborhoods. We provide preschool and daycare services to the Denver community for children 2 years of age until they enter Kindergarten. We offer a comfortable, preschool setting in a home environment with a low student to teacher ratio that allows the teachers to individualize learning experiences with each child. A Busy Child Daycare & Preschool is an approved Denver Preschool Program classroom. We offer Morning Preschool Classes and Full-Day Preschool August through May, as well as a Summer Camp during the summer months of June and July. Summer Camp is filled with various excursions each week such as: movies, park visits (spraygrounds and picnics), bowling, swimming, summer reading program, and many more fun and educational field trips.

A Busy Child Daycare & Preschool offers a bright and clean preschool classroom that is warm and inviting to children, and a curriculum that is designed to offer preparatory learning in a fun and inspiring environment. Your preschooler will not only develop a solid academic foundation through the guided discovery of language arts, math, and science, but also through creative expression by exploring, learning about themselves and others, art, and music.

Our preschool offers the following Enrichment Programs:

• Music Classes with a professional music teacher, Mr. Marty from Rhythm & Rhyme Tyme
• Gymnastic Classes twice a month with trained coaches at C.G.I Gymnastics
• Library visits and story time at the Montbello and Green Valley Ranch libraries
• Preschool Field trips: The Butterfly Pavilion, The Puppet Theatre, Pump It Up!, and many more!

The hub of our preschool curriculum is to educate the whole child. Through structured activities, guided and undirected play, A Busy Child Preschool strives to meet each child’s individual needs and to help them develop in four critical developmental areas: Social, Emotional, Cognitive, and Physical. The classroom is divided into learning centers where the children can make independent choices and work on fundamental skills. Our curriculum includes teacher-directed concepts and child-directed activities, group interaction, independent work, and times for quiet and active play. Children will engage in activities that promote:

• Language skills
• Problem solving
• Self-help skills
• Fine motor development
• Large muscle development
• Independence
• Responsibility

Additionally, we offer activities to support letter and number recognition, phonemic awareness, character education, and self-esteem development. We work to instill values with each child, and nurture their development with a loving, stable, and secure environment. Our goal is to foster each child's self-esteem by building their self worth and encouraging their abilities. Our goal is to prepare your child for success in Kindergarten and beyond.

About the Teachers

Babette Torres - Preschool/Daycare Owner & Lead Teacher
I am the proud owner and lead teacher at A Busy Child Preschool. I am also a mother to four wonderful children, two daughters 16 & 13 years old and two sons 9 & 6 years old. I thoroughly enjoy working with children, and take pride in my profession as a teacher and childcare provider. It is my goal to offer a high-quality preschool and daycare program to children and families in the Denver area. I am enrolled in college credit courses in the Early Childhood Education field and attend classes and workshops pertaining to the development of children on an on-going basis. I am also trained in CPR & First Aid. Please take a moment to review my childcare credentials.

Kearyan Brown - Assistant Teacher
I am currently a student at the Community College of Aurora, and I am enrolled in the Associates program for Early Childhood Education. I am married, and have a 14 month old daughter. I love working with children, and look forward to becoming a teacher after obtaining my degree. My hobbies are cooking and gardening. I am also current with my CPR & First Aid certification.
